This video will teach you the foundational principles of round penning at liberty.  It is the beginning of an incredible relationship you are creating with your horse!  

When with your horse, to have that relationship you've always dreamed of, there are 3 things to focus on: 

  1. Relaxation - a horse that is relaxed is using the thinking side of his brain and will be less likely to get upset.
  2. Respect - respect goes both ways, and must be earned.  Without respect, the relationship will not be healthy.
  3. Responsiveness - a responsive horse is one that is listening to you and doing what you ask.  He or she must be constantly mentally and emotionally connected to you to be consistently responsive.

A good relationship with your horse consists of a few simple things:
